So… I’ve been having difficulty actually writing about stuff these past couple of weeks, despite the great amount I want to write about: marathons, castles by the lake, family feasts, chocolate, coffee, chocolate covered coffee; not to mention publishing my idle ruminations on the multifarious mamma mias currently in active use.
Yesterday was the Mille Miglia race, which starts and ends in Brescia. I’m not a car guy by any means, but it’s a thing that lots of people love, so I thought I’d check it out!
Since I’ve been such a complainy-pants about writing these days, I decided to just cut-and-paste my internet conversation with my buddy Ray that took place as I was dodging cars and people trying to take artful hipster-esque photos to which I could later apply the appropriate filters.
My hope is that in writing-yet-not-writing, I can at least get something out there to slowly nudge my psychological block to somewhere else in my mind that needs compartmentalizing.
So here you go! For all you native Italian readers out there, you’re in luck! This is a bona-fide, unadulterated, real-life case of native English used on the internet! Also, I was typing with my thumbs, so there are errors.

It’s this badass russian truck that always acted as a support vehicle in the Dakar rally, but it was so badass they started entering it as an actual race vehicle for the truck race
